Training for PhDs in the Natural Sciences or Life Sciences

Utrecht Holdings

In the beginning of 2016, Utrecht Holdings offers a course on Knowledge Utilization (sometimes called Broader Impact of Valorization), specifically for PhDs in the Natural Sciences or Life Sciences. The course offers perspectives on utilization routes, the role of utilization in proposals and support opportunities at Utrecht Science Park. To facilitate continuous improvement of our trainings, a procedure for quality assurance and control is developed.

Knowledge Utilization in the Life Sciences
Knowledge Utilization (sometimes called valorization or (broader) impact) is increasingly important in calls and research proposals. But what do funders mean by valorization? Which opportunities do you have as a scientist in the life sciences? How do we cope with conflicts of interest? Is the importance of utilization a threat to fundamental research? And how does utilization relate to patents or spin-offs?

Courses dates: January 25th & February 8th
Location: Utrecht Holdings
