Winterschool Entrepreneurship Week 2018
Are you interested in learning more about entrepreneurship? NOW IS YOUR CHANCE! Between the 29th of January and the 2nd of February we are organizing the 5th edition of ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK. During this time, you will have the chance to learn about different aspects of entrepreneurship, like sustainable entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial marketing.
The target audience for the Entrepreneurship Week is advanced Bachelor, Master, and PhD students – also non-UU students. Prior knowledge of entrepreneurship or economics is no prerequisite. There are no costs to join us this week. Participants are asked to organize their own lunch. It is not compulsory to be present at all elements of the week. Please let us know if you are just popping in a few times this week or will be there most of the time.
Completion of the programme offers the UtrechtCE Entrepreneurship Week Certificate.
Hein Roelfsema is Associate Professor in International Entrepreneurship and Director of the Utrecht Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He serves as an Advisor on the Advisory Board of Holland Startup B.V. and is a Board Member at the Global Entrepreneurship Network Netherlands.
Leendert de Bell is staff member at Utrecht Center for Entrepreneurship and teaches entrepreneurship and international business courses at Utrecht University School of Economics. He obtained his PhD in International Development Studies at Utrecht University. His research interest focuses on international entrepreneurship, in particular in the context of developing areas and emerging markets.
Nils de Witte has the heart of an entrepreneur and the soul of an educator. Nils has 25 year of experience in guiding emerging entrepreneurs in finding their way and fulfilling their dreams to make a difference. His motto: It’s hard work to make your dream come true.
Erik van Vulpen is founder of Analytics in HR, a fast growing startup in HR tech. Erik has a bachelor’s in law and a double master’s in psychology and business administration. Prior to founding Analytics in HR he worked for two years at a venture builder.
Peter van der Meer is an educator and with students in the fields of entrepreneurship and marketing, both in SMEs and startups. For a new business project, he works together with Robin Romein to teach online marketing to both students and SMEs. They teach the students how to work with different online marketing tools and they help entrepreneurs to reach their customers online. This way we make each other visible… businesses become more visible to their (potential) customers and students are more visible to future employers.
Jeroen de Jong is a Professor of Marketing and Business Development at Utrecht University. His research revolves around open and distributed forms of innovation, i.e. innovations that people and organizations develop initially for non-commercial reasons like personal needs, enjoyment, personal learning, or altruism. Other, related research interests include individuals’ entrepreneurial behaviors, and innovation and marketing processes of small firms. Recent projects concern the development of statistics for open and distributed innovations, and marketing processes in small firms.
Daan Rijpkema is a young and enthusiastic student entrepreneur deeply involved in entrepreneurship in Utrecht. While studying he noticed a severe problem in the way student associations use computer systems to manage their members and build a startup, Codex, solving that problem. He set up a think tank in social entrepreneurship hub Enactus Utrecht, he is a board member of the student incubator StudentsInc and he is setting up a new taskforce called UtrechtInc Students to facilitate ambitious students with the means to fulfill their dreams.
Robert de Bruijn has launched two digital ventures and is currently busy with a third project. Robert has been teaching entrepreneurship at the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences the past 5 years and works with several large organisations to build their intrapreneurial muscles. His first book Disciplined Startup Founder, is scheduled for publication in 2018. With a professional background in digital product management and marketing, he holds a Drs. in English Language & Literature from Leiden University, and an MBA from Vlerick Business School.
Erik Stam is full professor and head of the Strategy, Organization and Entrepreneurship chair at the Utrecht University School of Economics. He is also academic director of the Utrecht Center for Entrepreneurship. He provides new insights into how entrepreneurship is affected by its (organizational, economic and societal) context, and how entrepreneurship subsequently affects these contexts. He is editor of Small Business Economics. Next to his scientific work he is frequently consulted by regional, national and supra-national policy makers and private sector organizations.
Kristóf Fellegi is a studentrepreneur evangelizing entrepreneurship in Utrecht. He has a bachelor’s in finance and accounting and acquiring a master’s in business informatics. His startup, KonJoin is an online platform connecting researchers with the needed resources. He is chairing the board of UtrechtInc Students with a mission to put entrepreneurship on the radar of every student in Utrecht.
Jorg Kop is currently Managing Director at business incubator UtrechtInc. He is passionate to shape ideas, people and organisations for acceleration to the next level. Jorg has been working in general management and commercial marketing roles in different kinds of businesses (Cigars, Wines & Spirits, Snacks, Mobility, Online Platforms, Decoration & Interior). Recurring theme is creating the right dynamics for the desired breakthrough growth. Jorg is former founder of SnappCar (P2P carsharing), Informal Investor and Mentor of several startups.
Inez Teunissen is director of StartupUtrecht. StartupUtrecht boosts the startup ecosystem in Utrecht (access to capital, talent and corporates). Inez has a master’s degree in business administration and has worked in general management, marketing and sales and investment management positions in the financial services industry.
Marcellien Breedveld is entrepreneur, trainer and passionate about doing good! She has built a track record on coaching startup entrepreneurs with impact at UtrechtInc. She was educated by the best entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley like Steve Blank and Erik Ries in Lean Startup & Customer Development. Her expertise as Pitch Trainer has grown from guiding 100s of entrepreneurs and students to deliver a great pitch. Currently, she runs an Entrepreneurship program for refugees for the University of Utrecht. Besides that she has her own consultancy business Marcelliens Good Company.
